Crompton Ozone Desert Air Cooler

This air cooler delivers 4200 m3/hr at 190 watts. It’s energy-efficient for my home. The cooler fits in any corner due to its compact size (34.8 x 19 x 19 cm).

The Crompton Ozone Desert Air Cooler had simple buttons. As stated in the product description, I missed the remote control.

Auto swing is one of this air cooler’s best features, ensuring room uniformity. Metal desert coolers can rust and leak, but the full plastic body prevents this. Five castor wheels make the cooler portable.

The transparent water level indicator helped me know when the tank was empty. The cooler provided cool air in 10-15 minutes, which was delightful. The cooler didn’t need ice, but there’s a place to fill it.

Crompton Ozone Desert Air Cooler Features

The Crompton Ozone Desert Air Cooler has two water inlets for manual and automatic filling. Honeycomb dust protection and air deflection were lacking. Some users may find it difficult to change air deflection.

Finally, the ice chamber is small, so it may not hold enough ice for extra cooling.

Crompton Optimus 100-Litre Portable Desert Air Cooler

My 650-square-foot home needed reliable cooling. For capacity and performance, the Optimus 100-Litre cooler was perfect for me.

The 230-watt motor’s 5500 m3/hr air delivery caught my eye. The cooler’s dimensions (104 x 39 x 41 cm) fit perfectly into a corner in my living space. The button controls were simple, and the 30 dB noise level was a pleasant surprise, allowing me to enjoy a peaceful and cool environment.

Five high-quality wheels instead of four make the Crompton Optimus cooler sturdy. This made moving the cooler easy, and its sturdy build gave me confidence in it. The air throw was impressive, reaching 15-20 ft, and cooling my entire living space.

I loved the market’s largest ice chamber. I could add more ice for better cooling. The cooler’s auto drain feature made emptying 90% of the water easy. The back humidity control knob helped me maintain my home’s humidity.

Crompton Optimus 100-Litre Air Cooler features

Swinging with or without the pump is a unique feature of this cooler. This helped me circulate air without cooling. With two water inlet holes, I could fill the cooler manually or directly from a tap.

The mosquito net panels and collapsible front louvres greatly reduced insect entry into the cooler. The air deflector was annoying when I wanted to direct the airflow.

When the cooler was flat, the cooling panels had uneven water distribution. Two panels would get wet while the third remained dry. The cooler performed well despite this minor issue.

Bottom Line:

The Crompton Ozone Desert Air Cooler has fast cooling, a rust-free plastic body and an inefficient air deflection system, but no remote control. The Crompton Optimus 100-Litre Portable Desert Air Cooler has more air delivery, auto drain and humidity control. Airflow and panel water distribution are limited. The Crompton Optimus 100-Litre Portable Desert Air Cooler is better overall.
