Firstly, the purifier requires a strong water flow of approximately 20 bps. If you have a lower flow rate, you may need to invest in a booster pump, which can cost an additional 2.5k. Additionally, the purifier can’t be attached directly to a tap, and it doesn’t provide cool water – only ambient temperature water.
Another minor issue is the waiting time of 1.5 minutes for hot water at 45°C. While it’s not a significant inconvenience, it’s worth mentioning for those who expect instant hot water.

To start with, the 6 stages of purification, including UV and UF technologies, assured me of clean and safe drinking water. I was impressed by the purifier’s filtration capacity of 36 L/hr and water flow rate of 0.5 L/min, which proved quite efficient for my daily water consumption needs.
The storage capacity of 7 litres was more than enough for my small family, and the transparent tank made it easy for me to check the water level at any given time. I appreciated that the water storage tank was made from food-grade plastic, ensuring the water’s safety and quality.
One of the most convenient features of the Aquaguard Aura UV+UF was the advanced UV lamp change indicator, which helped me keep track of when it was time for maintenance. Additionally, the purifier could be easily wall-mounted or kept on a countertop, giving me flexibility in installation and saving valuable kitchen space.
Another fantastic feature is the ability of the purifier to dispense water without electricity. This proved to be a lifesaver during power outages.
There were a few drawbacks to the Aquaguard Aura UV+UF. The built/plastic quality felt cheap and flimsy, which raised concerns about its durability. I also missed having a music notification when the water tank was full, which would have been a helpful feature to prevent overflowing.
