It can be so satisfying to kick your mornings off with a glass of fresh, cold-pressed juice, and the juicer you choose is more important than you may imagine. An effective cold press juicer maintains nutrients, yields the highest output, and fits well into your routine without making cleaning a hassle.
Kuvings B1700 and its high-end brother, the Kuvings EVO810, can help to make healthy living a bit easier.
The two juicers operate on the same 240-watt copper-wound motor and have the JMCS technology of Kuvings to extract as much juice as possible. But when it comes to the Kuvings B1700 vs. EVO810, it’s the little details that make the difference.
With this in mind we have compared the two models to compare them with each other.
Performance
The Kuvings B1700 and the EVO810 were both good in our comparison, but the latter one was superior in general.
Incidentally, both juicers are powered by the same 240-watt motor and patented JMCS (Juice Module Compressing System) technology that Kuvings boasts provides at least 10 percent more juice than other cold press juicers.
But that is not the entire story-the EVO810 has a redesigned 5th-generation juicing bowl and a new auger design that significantly increases the extraction efficiency, particularly with leafy greens.
To further compare the Kuvings B1700 and EVO810, we compared the two models in two key aspects to have a clearer view of how they compare:
- Juice yield test
- Usability test
We also considered three other factors unique to the EVO810, such as:
- Noise test
- Pulp dryness test
- Leafy greens test
We then rated each model on its overall juicing performance as indicated below:
Kuvings B1700
92.5%
Kuvings EVO810
97.0%
Now let’s discuss the results.
Juice Yield Tests
To determine the performance of each juicer in real life situations, we used four common ingredients to test them. As an illustration, certain juicers can yield a huge amount of juice out of soft fruits such as oranges in a matter of seconds but might not perform with fibrous vegetables, greens or hard food such as carrots.
The average yield (by weight) of juice extracted by each juicer in our tests is listed below:
| Model | Overall | Fruits | Vegetables | Leafy Greens |
| Kuvings B1700 | 92.5% | 95.0% | 93.0% | 86.0% |
| Kuvings EVO810 | 97.0% | 97.5% | 97.0% | 95.5% |
As you can observe, the Kuvings EVO810 was more effective in extracting the juice of leafy greens as compared to the B1700. Otherwise, the two models did extremely well with fruits and vegetables, but the EVO810 continued to have a steady advantage.

We also wanted to see how effective they were at juicing the following ingredients:
- Carrots
- Apples
- Celery
- Wheatgrass
The table below shows the yield of juice (in ml/ 500 g produce) obtained with each juicer:
As you can observe, the EVO810 performed better than the B1700 in all ingredients, but the largest difference was observed in celery and wheatgrass – two notoriously challenging foods to cold press juicers.

Leafy Greens
86.0%
The 76 mm feeding tube of the B1700 can feed on most whole fruits and vegetables without pre-cutting and the JMCS technology guarantees a solid yield across the board. But greens such as wheatgrass and kale should be fed more slowly to prevent clogging, which reduces the total throughput.

Kuvings EVO810 Juice Yield Performance.
With its upgraded 5th-generation juicing bowl and advanced auger technology, the Kuvings EVO810 is one of the most efficient cold press juicers we’ve compared to date. It was in fact more yielding than the B1700, the Hurom H-AA, the Omega VSJ843 and some other popular models.
Besides the sophisticated auger design, this juicer has an 82 mm wide-feed chute, which can fit larger fruits and saves much time on preparation.
Fruits 97.5%
Vegetables 97.0%
Leafy Greens 95.5%
Ignoring this factor, the EVO810 was quite impressive in its performance on all produce, such as fibrous celery and wheatgrass. It extracted a little more pulp in soft fruits such as oranges, but still provided a better yield than most juicers that we have compared to date.
Noise Test
As stated above, we tested some additional areas of the EVO810. To begin with, we wanted to know the level of noise that the juicer produces when running, so we put a noise meter within 3 inches of the juicer.
With an average noise level of 62 dB, it’s no louder than a normal conversation. It cannot be avoided, any motor-driven appliance makes a certain amount of noise. As you can see from the chart below, it’s no worse than other cold press juicers.
Pulp Dryness Test
Kuvings says that the JMCS technology is the best at extracting the maximum amount of juice, and we chose to test it. The results showed a slight edge for the newer model.
In the end, both models were extremely effective at extracting juice, and neither juicer experienced any clogging or jamming during our tests.
An additional observation is that the dual-gear mechanism and silicone-free bowl design of the EVO810 causes the pulp to be significantly drier to the touch than the other cold press juicers we have tried, where the remaining moisture can be left trapped in the strainer mesh.
Leafy Greens Test
This yield test, in comparison with the earlier yield tests, had a definite winner. The juicers worked well in processing soft fruits but the quantity of the juices obtained in leafy greens varied significantly.
The Kuvings B1700 had a few problems with tightly packed bundles of wheatgrass, which the EVO810 had no problems with. Nevertheless, the B1700 continued to do fairly well with larger leafy greens such as spinach and kale.
The two models differ greatly in the design of the bowl and strainer as we shall see later on. One of the larger modifications between the two is no doubt the juicing bowl. At least, it is good to know that Kuvings is conscious of the shortcomings of their previous models and that they can correct them.
To conclude on this point, the 5th-generation juicing bowl fitted in the EVO810 is simpler to take apart compared to the regular bowl fitted in the B1700. It was the B1700 that should have been able to have a simpler disassembly in order to clear the occasional blockages of leafy green, which is a shame.
👍 Usability Test
In the future, we would like to compare the two juicers with one another in regard to usability.
Both models are easy to assemble in minutes and have a user-friendly instruction manual and other tools and accessories.
The broader feeding tube on the EVO810 will require less time pre-cutting food, so you can get through your morning routine quicker. In addition, the O-shape flip gate will be easier to insert, which will also decrease the prep time.
As it can be seen above, the B1700 and the EVO810 have the same weight, yet the latter comes with more accessories included. In addition, the two juicers have the Kuvings patented Green Cleaning Tool that will assist you in cleaning the strainer within one minute.
Kuvings B1700 Usability
The Kuvings B1700 is compact and easy to operate. Otherwise, it is nearly the same as the EVO810 in terms of usability, with the only difference being its slightly smaller feeding tube and fewer included accessories.
It has some distinctive characteristics such as:
• Patented JMCS technology
• 76 mm wide feeding tube.
The Green Cleaning Tool Kit.
• Safety lock system
• Copper-wound AC motor
• BPA-free Tritan construction
• Washable strainers
As an illustration, the juicing parts can be taken apart in seconds, and thus, cleaning becomes much easier. Likewise, the safety lock system does not allow the motor to start unless all the parts are secured.
A batch of vegetables is as easy to juice. Just drop whole fruits and vegetables down the wide-mouth chute and leave the rest to the slow-grinding auger.
Kuvings EVO810 Usability
The Kuvings EVO810 includes all the features of the B1700, as well as some premium upgrades. Nevertheless, it has a 5th-generation juicing bowl rather than the regular bowl- but we will see that later.
Just like the B1700, it comes with the Green Cleaning Tool, a safety lock system, JMCS technology, and the same 240-watt copper-wound motor.
The other difference is in the feeding tube width. The model has a 82 mm chute compared to the B1700 which has a 76 mm chute. The EVO810 also comes with smoothie and sorbet strainers in the package, which will have to be bought separately in the B1700.
Also, it is important to note that every juicer is available in various colour options. As an example, the Kuvings EVO810 comes in Phantom Black, and the B1700 in Dark Silver among others.
🧬 Design
The EVO810 and the Kuvings B1700 are quite similar in size and shape. The latter is a bit smoother and more polished, however, the difference is insignificant. Except for the juicing bowl and strainer system, they also come with similar tools and accessories.
Both models are upright and vertical and unlike centrifugal juicers, they run at low RPM to reduce oxidation and ensure nutrients are not lost in your juice.
TIP: The Kuvings REVO830 or the Nama J2 will be a good choice in case you want a juicer that has even a wider feeding chute and can be fed automatically. Whole fruits can be processed in either of these models with no prep work.
Now we will consider a little more closely the similarities of the two:
• Patented JMCS technology
• 240-watt copper-wound motor
• BPA-free Tritan construction
• Ultem auger
• Green Cleaning Tool
• 12-year motor warranty
• Safety lock system
• Silent operation
One of the differences between the two is their bowl technology. The Kuvings B1700 has a standard juicing bowl with rubber and silicone seals, which can wear out with time.
In comparison, the Kuvings EVO810 has a patented silicone and rubber-free juicing bowl with a dual-gear mechanism. This implies no maintenance costs and much longer life of the bowl assembly since there are no parts of wear and tear that need to be replaced.

An example of this is the Kuvings B1700 which can be sold in gift packs with recipe books and additional strainers depending on the retailer. Likewise, the EVO810 package comes with all the strainers that you will require immediately.
In what ways are they different?
All the necessary accessories are included in the Kuvings B1700 and the EVO810, yet they are strong enough to perform a majority of juicing related jobs.
As an example, the Ultem auger is crafted using the same high-strength material as spacecraft, which enables it to press and squeeze the ingredients without heating them. Simultaneously, it avoids oxidation and the loss of nutrients, which is a typical issue with conventional centrifugal juicers.
Now we will have a closer look at the various parts and accessories which are contained in each model.
Standard Juicing Bowl
This element resembles the 5 th -generation bowl, but more traditional. Similar to its improved version, it contains the auger and strainer unit that divides the juice and pulp during extraction.
Only on Kuvings B1700.
Silicone-Free 5th-Generation Juicing Bowl.
The 5th-generation bowl is created to have increased durability and rubber-free, silicone-free, patented design. It also has a dual-gear system which guarantees long life span and does not incur any expenses of maintenance since there are no wear and tear components such as rubber gaskets to change. The example of this is the dual-gear system which offers a more uniform compression force hence drier pulp and higher yield.
*Only on Kuvings EVO810.
O-Shape Flip Gate
A new feeding system that makes it easier to insert fruits and vegetables into the chute. Generally, it’s best for whole fruits and larger produce items.
